Re: Canoe School Payment Problem
Well, I finally got home from work and had a chance to resubmit my payment. At first, I tried to renew my ACC membership for $25, buy the introductory ACA membership for $10, and pay for the course. On the confirmation page it showed a total of $115 and had the PayPal button. When I hit the Paypal button, I logged on and got to the verification screen but it showed $110 instead of $115. Rather than complete the payment for the wrong amount, I went through the whole application again and selected only the ACA introductory membership. That time I got to the Paypal screen and it showed the proper total of $90 so I completed the payment. I'll check with Joe to be sure, but I think my ACC membership is current through at least May so there shouldn't be a problem. I was going to renew now just for convenience. Anyway, I should be okay now but your database may show several duplicate enrollments. Thanks for the quick fix. Thanks also for the clarification on the address for the ACA waivers.
Cheers!

Dave-
Don't worry, I have submitted several test applications myself, so duplicates are something we will work through.
Thanks so much for posting, I am trying to work through the minor glitches. All of this technology is just amazing---once I learn how to make to work correctly! I thought I had everything covered, but there are always a few things here and there, especially when you make any type of change.
Just everyone, please have patience and bear with us. We are learning, a lot more than we ever expected. But, we will get there and I everything will be allright.

Re: Canoe School Payment Problem
I registered at 12:03am this morning and had no problems with the registration or paying for an ACA membership and the course
; however, when I was automatically redirected to the ACC web page, I was thanked for joining or renewing my membership in the ACC.
I checked my registration receipt and apparently I did register correctly: ACC=o, ACA=10, course=80.
Just not sure why the ACC site thought I joined or renewed my membership. I'm not particularly worried about it, but since you are trying to get all the bugs out of the system, I thought you might want to know about this one.
Thanks Patti and Marcus for all the work you are doing. I was just thinking this morning what a nighmare this must be for you. It will all work out and we will all learn a lot. Keep up the good work.

Ditto what Ty said!
Paddling instruction and internet commerce don't exactly involve overlapping skill sets but you guys are jumping in and doing an damn good job at both, all things considered. It wouldn't be a river if it didn't have a few strainers along the way. Good show!

Re: Canoe School Payment Problem
Thanks to all for the encouraging words. We really had no idea quite what we had gotten into when we agreed to this. We are glad to be doing it-certainly is breaking up the monotony of things!!!
However, needless to say, yesterday was a bit stressful!  At one time, I contemplated jumping off the back deck of our house and getting it over with, but figured I would only break a few bones with the way my luck was going!
Anyway, today is better. We are resolving issues. Many, many thanks to the wonderful folks who have been graciously helping us getting things sorted out. The ACC is really fortunate to have such a wonderful group of officers and website folks that work so hard to keep all of this together and running-even with people like me driving them crazy!!
Here's to them!

My friend reports that there is no submit button on the application page for the school. I can't see it either. What gives??

Gordon -
This came up on a separate thread: apparently the javascript isn't working on Mozilla Firefox, so if you and/or your friend can use Internet Explorer, it should work. I had the same problem with someone who called me for help, but when I tried using IE, the submit button is there big as day...
