Canoe School Payment Problem

Post by DMG » Sun Mar 08, 2009 11:29 pm

I've just completed my online application for the whitewater school but I haven't figured out how to send the PayPal payment. On my confirmation page, it says, "You have selected to pay by using Paypal. Please click the buy button now." Then it says, "Invalid Amount Selected." There is no buy button that I can find. Please help!

Thanks!

Also, the mailing address for sending the ACA liability waiver is different within the application than it is on the confirmation page. Within the application, it shows a P.O. Box number in Jasper for Marcus Van Camp and the ACC Whitewater School. I had already mailed one to that address before I reread my confirmation page and found a P.O. Box in Little Rock for the Arkansas Canoe Club. I sent another copy there just to be safe, but is one better than the other? I'm not trying to nitpick here, I just thought it would be easier for everyone if all the waivers got sent to the same place.

Thanks again!

Don't think that registration is open yet for canoe school. Reason there is a separate address for canoe school (Mark Van Camp's address) and the Canoe Club is that Mark and Patti need to get the forms ASAP w/o driving down to Little Rock where all general mail goes.

Just guessing. Mark, Patti, I hear your name being called!!

I also had this problem with paying. Paypal took my sons application but not mine. The only difference was that I selected $0 for my son and $25 for myself for the canoe club fee. Who should I contact to resolve this issue?

Ok folks-

I will do some checking on this. This is the first year that we have handled the whitewater school and I am trying to learn all of the registration online aspect of it. There were a lot of pages that had to be updated and I guess I have missed one.

Ok, on the issue of where to mail the waiver forms. The correct address to mail the waiver forms to is: P.O. Box 381, Jasper, AR 72641. We are having the waivers mailed directly to us instead of to the Little Rock p.o. box to help expediate the registration process.

I will check on the Paypal problem. Evidently, I need to update that page also. I will find out the problems and try to have them resolved as quickly as possible.

Again, I am very sorry for the confusion this is causing folks. Just bear with us, we are new to this.

Victor-

I have checked the registration database ( where all of the online applications end up) and I have found your son and also yourself. In fact, your registration is on there twice. So, you are registered with the school. Now, I am going to check on the Paypal side and see if your payment is there. So, we are working on the problem.

I have temporarily shut down registration until I can be sure everything is OK. In checking the registrations already in the database, there were others who paid the $25.00 fee. I am wondering if there were any other problems on that aspect? The $25.00 fee was one of the changes from last year.

Hopefully, I will have registration up and running again shortly. I will post another message when that happens.

Patti:

Mine worked fine about 7:00 this morning: very smooth.

Ok-

I have opened up registration again. Hopefully, it will work for everyone. I tried to make it clearer on the confirmation page on where to send waivers. Of course, that was the one page that I failed to go over with a fine-toothed comb.

Anyway, Victor, don't worry about duplicate registration. That is not a problem. I just want to make sure that the payment aspect of the registration is working properly. I am still checking on that end of it. If anyone else registers with the ACC fee included in the payment amount and you don't encounter a problem, would you please post here? That way, I can finally relax a little!

Thanks and sorry for the confusion!

OK so I:

1. Registered and paid 90$ for ACA and Canoe School Fee online.
2. Sent the ACA waiver to Marcus.

OK what I don't have is an ACA# or an ACC#. Will my app be processed without those?

We have a membeship list for ACC and we will check to see if applicants are members from that list. Also, once we have applicants that have registered with ACA, we can check with them on membership status. So, if you registered this morning, you are in the school database and we will work from there.

Thanks for responses. They are helping me learn this process quickly!

I'm attempting to register, but when I click the "submit" button, I get this error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '}' in /usr/local/4admin/apache/vhosts/arkansascanoeclub.com/httpdocs/school/register07/process.php on line 126

I tried closing out of my browser and restarting, but same result.

I'm trying to pay for both organizations' memberships, as well as canoe school.

Thanks,
David

Victor-

We have your registration in the school database. Just wait until I get check whose payments have actually been posted to Paypal. I think that the process is working OK now. Espcially since David posted that his went through fine.

I will post here and let you know. But don't worry, we will get you in due to your early registration.

sorry again for the confusion.
