Mike - some good news...I hope you saw this already, but it sounds like they were able to make some improvements. Per latest update from Ted:
"After getting some calls and e-mails about the high flow releases from Remmel Dam over the Labor Day weekend, we initiated additional discussions with the system dispatchers and decided that we could back off to the normal release schedule for the weekend. And so here is the latest. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
On Wednesday and Thursday, Remmel will begin releasing about 3,600 CFS at about 9 AM and continue past midnight. Blakely will begin releasing about 6,600 CFS from about 10 AM to 9 PM with reduced flows in the last couple of hours. Carpenter will be releasing about 3,600 at Noon and increase to about 7,900 CFS from about 1 to 7 PM and then reduce to about 3,600 at 7 PM to 9 PM.
On Friday, Blakely will begin releasing about 6,600 CFS from 10 AM to 11 PM. Carpenter and Remmel will begin releasing 9,600 CFS from Noon to 8 PM. This release will cause Lake Hamilton to rise a few inches and then it will drop about 6 inches then refill. It will remain well within the operating rule curve.
Then on Saturday we will return to our current release pattern.
Blakely, Carpenter and Remmel Dams will be releasing about 3,600 CFS from about 10 AM to 10 PM daily."
I hope this helps!
I've heard that into every life a little of it must fall,
but you'll never catch me complaining about too much of that southern rain.
