The gauge at Dutch Creek probably won't reflect the rain Sugar Creek has gotten. This is Google Earth as of 9:15 am:

It's a great level. 2.3 and rising ...

WOW!
That was my first time on SUGAR and man, I could see where she could be less than SWEET at times iffin' a person were not adequately skilled. It reminded me a lot of Mill Creek in Franklin County just below Devils Canyon.
LOVED the run and hope to catch again many times in the future! Thanks again for posting the eyeball bridge water level report
Because of that I had enough time to make the late run

Heard about this from Giant Ryan. Sounds like a bomber level - wish I could have joined the Crack-O-Stupid team this time, but I'm saving my get-out-of-everything card for the coming big creekin weekend that should be just around the corner.
BTW, I'm going to be bringing the fam to Canoe School - looking forward to seeing everyone there and throwing down on some catfish! I'd like to put in my advance order for the Mulberry at 3.0 and 80 degree highs with sunshine this year.

The wave train at Knopper Ford is awesome when the water is over both the bridges at Knopper Ford and Jack Creek Rec area. There are several 3-4 foot glassy waves at the end of the rapid at the campground.
When the creek is that high you can attain the creek from the road at Knopper Ford, the shelf just upstream is under water.
Wonder why I have never seen any thing else there at those levels? Shuttle I really long!
