Brush Creek Footage

Post by jnewcomb » Tue Feb 19, 2013 11:41 pm

Some quick footage of what I had thought was a first descent, turns out Joe Branch and Ryan Colby Teer got it the day before. Anyways, guess this is the first video of Joe, Kyle Bogard, Noel Parker, and myself hitting a cool Ouachita Mountains creek at high water. Nice and tight!

The video quality via facebook is better than my free vimeo account, so I made it public and that link should work for non-facebookers as well.

If not, this one will --> https://vimeo.com/60052868" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I recognize this area. It’s a favorite bushwhacking hiking area of mine. I start at you take out spot, Forest service road F666 low water bridge which is now actually a small dam due to settlement filling in the creek and clogging the tubes and then hike to Cove Mt Road (FS Road 83) along brush creek. I thought it to be to “brushy” to float, for me anyway. I assume you edited the video some because it is more than 3 minutes even at high water from cove mt road to 666 take out by boat.?
How did you guys find this?
You could have gone another couple miles and took out on another low water bridge.

I really enjoyed the Video. :clap:

Also, this is close to SouthFourche and Bear/Trace creeks.
