Another drowning on Spring River
I just heard on a Thayer MO radio station that a 25 year old male from South Haven MS drowned this weekend in Fulton county on Spring River. He tried to swim from one side of the river to the other side, didn't make it. No other details.

So sad Jan. What a senseless waste of another young life. A girl who sits near me at work was there last weekend for her first time and was in the campground where this most likely happened. She told me on Monday there was a rescue crew there, so I can only assume that was why. On Friday afternoon I was still drilling into her how important it was to respect the river even though most around her wouldn't be.
