Been lucky and never took a swim or tump in front of The Mother.

Looking at it sans water, it is a wonder there have not been serious pins there.

The familiar rapids are always fascinating to see in dry conditions. I found this video of the Mother during flow: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Liha_xwiwtc" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Now would be a good time to go in there with some cement and fill in that left side. Then move some rocks around, dig it out and see if you can make a nice hydraulic. I'm sure nobody would mind.

2nd, I suggest some time at this site: It's the "in" way of seeing things.

But of course, some folks just don't get it.

I believe Justin was being satirical and referencing a previous heated thread.

Wow! That makes some other rapids I've seen at low water look pretty friendly!

You haven't lived till you have surfed the hole below the little mother rock offside, OC1, and then caught the eddy on river left above the Mother Rock. Of course a lttle quickrete in selected areas might make things even better(Just kidding?) dale :poke2: :twocents: :myday"

Very cool to see videos of low vs "good" flow on a "famous" rapid in Arkansas. Big Piney has been on my "to do list" for some time. Looks awesome!
