Giant MB for kayak

I have a Giant Revel 0 NEW mountain bike that was ridden once and has been taking up space in the garage since. Thinking about trading it for a kayak of a value of about $600 to $550. We bought it new at L&C and he thinks after riding it once it is too heavy. Its a large frame size. We have 2 kayaks now a Wilderness Pongo 120 and a Riot.
