Structure on top of White Bluff?

Post by bart » Wed Apr 20, 2011 8:14 pm

A couple of weeks ago, I paddled from Woolum to Baker Ford and noticed a structure on the top of White Bluff. Does anyone know what it is?

It's not the destination, it's the journey.

I believe it is the same structure that Ken Smith was referring to that looks like a southere style plantation house. Some good ole boys from Loisianna built it and it is a eyesore and totally out of sync from the river. Ken Smith, Mike(from BRO in Ponca )and some other business men are putting together a group to get right-of-way accesses tp keep it from happening again, or something along that line of thought...I guess you could call Mike and find out some more detail on that....Pam

I've paddled through there before, but was reminded of it on the last trip. I didn't realize there was any private land close enough to the river for there to be a house that close. From the river, you can't tell if it's occupied or not. I may check with Mike sometime, just out of couriousity.
