I saw them here in Springfield in '72. They could really get the crowd into it. The place went nuts. Even without Jim Dandy Mangrum, they were one of the best southern rock bands I've heard. I really don't think Lynard Skynard had anything on 'em. There won't ever be another Black Oak...and maybe that's good!

He must be in his early sixties now. Good to see he still has all his teeth!

We were one of the opening bands with him at a concert... he wasn't the headliner either.. in the late 80s. He looked more like the top pic then. No black oak.. just Jim Dandy.

Leroux claimed top billing... New Orleans Ladies, sassy style......

Have the first BOA album. Work filter today (yes, I was there working on college class work while Kim cooked) blocked the Utube link. My first thought was to find one with Electricity Came to Arkansas!
