Larry, I went to the IMAX theater at the space center in Huntsville AL. The film showed a man standing on the ground then moved up away from him. Each move beyond that was, as I recall, by the power of 10. So very quickly you were seeing the earth, then the solar system, galaxy, etc. Then they once again started with the man and went smaller by the power of 10. Just as remarkable.
It reminds me of a Mormon scripture where God showed Moses just this world. "he said unto himself: Now, for this cause I know that man is nothing, which thing I never had supposed."

If only we could live in peace and harmony. We could spend our resources on things like this instead of training people in the art of war.
