Re: Few photos from upper Richland from 04/19
Nice pics. What was the level- low 3?
Re: Few photos from upper Richland from 04/19
That's me, though 'paddling' is a strong statement. Combine feeling pretty squirely in the morning with low water, and I mostly just sat there and held on for the ride.jjones03 wrote:whos the dude with the fullface.. paddling the fluid solo

just wondering... thought i was the only cat round these parts with a solo.
that a medium?

It's a small (they only had large and small when I got it), but medium would probably be a better fit. I think you'd see ten times as many of them if they weren't so heavy.

Nice shots. Now I can see where not go to the next time. Back in March when a bunch of us got it on a Wednesday, I came off the boof rock (river left) and ended up facing upstream with my bow stuck the nastly little spot between those two rocks.
Lazer eased up beside me and said, "That's not the line, Roger!"
No kidding.

Nice shots Marysia, thanks for sharing.
Roger, you just need more time on the creek and you'll get the lines down. But until then I'll enjoy watching your alternate lines.

Should have seen the lines at Upper and Lower Confluences between the Devil's Den. :shock:Lazer wrote:Nice shots Marysia, thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much for sharing these photos - they are great!
This shot makes for a unique look.
But, I had one of the worst line there when I slipped off the far left of the boof sluice and this shot really captures the result.
Over time I have learned the best way to getting good air with this boof is to drift to it from above and only use corrections to get the line. If you go hard at it a lot of times you move too fast and blow past the lefty stroke to get the bigger air.
Thanks again!
