Richard,
Can we get some dates together for May? I'm helping out on the 16th with the Audobon Society/Search&Res Function at Withrow Springs, Huntsville......................SO as soon as you review the Farmer's Almanac

and decide the best timeframe; LET US Buffalo River Addicts KNOW.......................
Appreciate your time! Gretchen

A week on the Buffalo May 17 - 23 is scheduled by several Shreveport area Ozark Society members and ACC members would be most welcomed to join us!! 2 - 3 members of both groups are already planning on being there.
Each day will include a hike (Hawksbill, Glory Hole, Indian Creek, Lost Valley, Hemmed-In-Hollow, etc) and a daily paddle trip from Boxley down as water allows; maybe a road trip to Piney/Mulberry one day. We'll do at least one crack-of-dawn bicycle ride through the Boxley valley, maybe a dusk ride. Base camping will be at Kyles if there's water, maybe one overnight. A wonderful, laid back, active yet totally unhurried week to chill!
It would be fabulous to have some of our Arkansas friends join us. A formal post with a new thread will be done later in April.

Gretchen, I apologize for not responding earlier. I am having a hard time coming up with a weekend I can commit to right now. The BCOS is a great group. If you are free while they are on the Buffalo, I think you would enjoy their company.

I joined Painter-Bob and two couples from LA, BCOS, earlier this week for a day on the Buffalo - paddled from Steel Creek to Kyles Landing. Hiked up Hemmed-In-Hollow, the falls had the best pour-over that I've seen. We also hiked up my person favorite, Bear-Cave-Hollow and viewed the series of beautiful water-falls. A few followed the "Yellow-Brick-Road" and viewed the upper falls.

Bob,
Glad to hear you were back to the Buffalo River, paddling and hiking! Wish I could have joined you. These past two weekends I was paddling with Team Stupid, learned lots............

I was amazed at the agility of this group..............along with the insanity, but they make it look so easy.......FUN!

I am hooked on waterfalls though!
Probably will float Buffalo after summertime as the bugs enjoy chewing on me!
Miss ya, Gretchen
