A Paddling Milestone

Well, today marked the first time I've ever called in sick to go paddling. It's a bit out of character for me to do such a thing, but I did it and I feel proud for having taken control of my own life. I'm also proud that I didn't actually lie. It is true that I just finished moving and that I had to carry many heavy things. It is also true that my back was hurting... especially the second time through Buck 'n' Flush.

You are my frickin hero... for today atleast. Because, against every bit of free spirited will in my body, I filed in line at the clock like the rest of those dumb basses. Booo!!

The beer tastes great guys, even the Oklahoma 3.2 dogwater. Thanks!

I don't actually want to get
fired for paddling which is why I carried my bad back into work this morning, but whatever happens, happens. They didn't know it six years ago when they hired me--I didn't know it either--but they hired a paddler. That's the underlying reality they're going to have to come to terms with, whatever those terms are. Here's one more:
Cheers!

I called in sick today because I was sick.
I'm hoping to be able to paddle tomorrow or Sunday one.
