An apology to Scott

Post by rynorris » Mon Mar 23, 2009 7:46 pm

Scott: Got the heads up posting the PM on the public board was not kosher and basically an a$$hole thing to do. Please accept this as a formal public apology. I was not trying to make your job any more difficult, because I can imagine it sucks to monitor every post on this board. Posting your PM was not meant as a personal dig or criticism against you. In fact, I appreciated it and the comments you made. You were right on.

Please feel free to delete any future posts I make without thinking twice about explaining yourself. I have my own personal opinion about this organization and my opinion is not always constructive. I'll ratchet it back in the future.

Ryan

Scott is at work right now; it will most likely he tomorrow before he can respond.

Ryan, you can delete or edit your post if you want to. I know several moderators discussed it, and decided that while technically it was a rules violation because it discussed the deleted post on the board, the decision was to not further moderate the thread, because in this case posting Scott's words served to show that we really do try to work with people behind the scenes to explain why actions have been taken.

Either way, Kudos for stepping up and being willing to open-mindedly look at your own actions from another point of view!

I just keep missing stuff. I mean it's not like there hasn't been some water to paddle lately. Of course, I've had obligations that kept me away.

BTW, remember guns/ammo and alcohol at LP threads don't mix!

Glad to see people take ownership of their mistakes.

Ryan, welcome to the speak your mind club !

Which is not quite but almost acbc-ish of your self. Hey, I have a hard time articulating my thoughts in a way that is considered as constructive sometimes too. On this website though it's more like most of the time.... And since that is the case I just don't post or read like I used too when it was more fun and open. Dang those rules ! rules everywhere I tell ya.

It all starts out in a funny or poking fun manner and then all too easily the "topic" or way that the topic is "articulated" determines whether or not it is constructive, acceptable, or banishment material.

I know that some points of view if expressed in person do much better than simply written where anyone can interpret the words a variety of different ways in the lack of non-verbal communication, and voice inflection and so on.

So Cheers to Ya and don't get yourself down

In the mean time I will rachet it down too, one week of continual posting is bound to get me in trouble again if I don't !

As a parting note for about the next month or so... I also have to thank Scott for helping me out in regaining access to the board last year after I was banned. Thanks Scott ! (not that you want that cred  )

quite a few guages are headed up, so it could be full of options.

However, for concern of a cursed lack of options I am putting my gear in the garage with my soap box where it will be hard to get out whenever there's lots of options for some boatin'
