Two newbies from Batesville finally have all their gear together and want to float this Saturday - been paddling the local creeks - anybody gonna be on the Cadron this Saturday? Need info on where to put in and where to take out. Would love to do it with some other folks if anyone's going.

Cadron might be a little iffy by this weekend. Was on it this Sunday at about 1.97 and it's now at 1.76. Tris says you can get down at below the minimum of 1.5 on the gauge.

Use to live in Batesville and still work there. Might I know you?

Roger - Curious as I have not been on the Cadron since September flood :( and anything and everything can change -- any play/bumps/hazards?

I was on the Cadron Tuesday, and no hazards were present. One jon boat was still a mess on river right, a new pinned one was on river left, and the pinned aluminum canoe had been removed at Daddy's Knee. Found a freshly flooded ziploc bag of candy, fishing baits, and .22 WMR cartridges laying in the brush below the newest beached jon boat.
Rapids are still basically the same to me, although a week or so ago I seated back a chisel rock that was looking for boat hulls at the ACC playhole. There will be some gorilla crawling below the 1.7 level.

The white gate at the PInnacle Springs bridge was being rewelded yesterday too.

Now if I had a diver's type drysuit, I'd call that an invitation to a little river scuba-diving expedition...

Tris, as the others reported nothing of note. Wondering if the gauge maybe a tad off. The level didn't seem almost "optimal" but then that could just be the brain playing tricks.

Gauge is not steady in reporting as it moving back and forth even without the rain. Wondering if there might be some other reason than a faulty gauge?

I wonder how long that will last? It's local yocals asserting their rights of access. Hate it for Mr. Tilman but....
