I've never K2'ed YET, but I'd give it a shot if you get one. Ah, think my 200 pounds might have to be in the rear. Didn't hear a weight limit for up front though, and I used to love hanging out the front of a raft bow guiding.

Re: New JK Dynamic Duo - Birth to Surf
One of the most fun days I had at the old Tulsa Wave was the day RandyJ borrowed a Topo Duo (from the BullMoose I think) and we took that thing out surfing.
First flip we had, he set up on one side and I set up the other making for a perfect cancellation after that we agreed to set up on one side and it was easy to roll.
I remember bow surfing the big nasty hole and RandyJ needed a snorkle tube to breathe.
Never got the chance to take it out on a river run, but it has to be a hoot there as well
I think the new Jackson Dynamic Duo is gonna be a real fun kayak.

Looks like a lot of fun, they actually performed a boof in part of that video! And did you notice when Dane and Eric were surfing that their strokes were exactly the same? Was eric just matching dane, or is their paddling style like father like son?
It could be worse, it could stop raining

Good video starts around 1:40.
Dynamic Duo is the highlight about 20 seconds later.

Re: New JK Dynamic Duo - Birth to Surf
good things happen to kayak design when the top management actively paddles the designs. EJ has really helped with his kayaking and engineering skills feedback. I have two JK kayaks and am very pleased with them.
also look at Shane Benedict over at liquid logic. Same type of feedback. Do not have either a Jefe or Remix, but sure do like what I have seen of these two designs and the test runs I have made.
I keep wondered just how good it can get, but seems like every year boats get better.

I gotta tell you guys: I'd like to have one. Looks like a real hoot! I can imagine taking one of my grandkids down river one of these. And that outfitting looks cushy. Might have to give my knees a rest for a while.
I wonder how much these things are gonna run.

Ouch! By far the most pitons I've seen in a single video.
I paddle a JK Hero, and yeah, the bulkhead is nice. Have pitoned hard once, and it made a big difference. And don't underestimate that little grab strap. Makes carrying a LOT easier.
FYI, Dynamic Duo price is $1599.

This guy could have used the Jackson bulkhead in his boat:BooF4FooD wrote:no matter how much you hate jackson, got to admit, that bulkhead is brilliant

Some fresh pics of the Duo on the JK web site. I like this one:
