Buffalo from Carver... enough water now for a decent float?

Planning to put onto the Buffalo for a camping trip Friday afternoon 10/24, and have been concerned that there might not be ample to water to float without dragging the boat "too" much. (a little dragging here and there is fine)
We'll be in 12 ft rec kayaks loaded with gear for 8 days. Not sure it that makes a big difference.
So what do the buffalo vets think? Is there plenty of water of water to put in at Carver, or should we opt for another spot further down?
BTW, the plan is to go slow. Real slow. No more than 7 river miles or so a day. Put in and take out are currently set at Carver to Buffalo Point.
Any thoughts appreciated.
