Re: Paddling in Puerto Rico?
I've been there a couple times and went up into the rainforest and checked out the waterfalls. I figured there was probably whitewater, so I looked it up on AW a while back. It looks like there would be some good paddling.

Re: Paddling in Puerto Rico?
My parents lived there for nearly 20 years (1982-2000) so have paddled, surfed and played on nearly every river and every wave. The river runs are generally short and dirty (sewage and trash are common river entries) -- thus prefer ocean play be it wave running or touring. Need any beta let me know.

Thanks for weighing in Tris. I forgot about your PR connection.
We are going to visit family in February and I was trying to get Grant on board by touting the fact that he could go paddling. But after your dim post and the fact that there is not one outfitter there. it looks like we will be looking for other things to do.
I chose February because that is peak for when the whales come. Any input on the best way to see the whales and other must see/do stuff? I was thinking about parting with my mom for a few days so Grant and I could go stay in a little beachside cabana somewhere.
Thank you SO much for your help! You know, I make homemade pasteles!
