River is dropping low for loaded boats in the upper reaches. Without a level boost, we maybe should plan on below hwy 65? Perhaps Maumee to hwt 14 bridge? opinions? Some one more up on the levels than I know?

Weather changes and or a good rain can change our options

How about Maumee to Rush, since we are gonna overnight somewhere? We could camp at Buffalo Point . . .
Just a thought.

usually look for less paddle more fellowship, woodie. Maybe even a side hike... as in shorter section and day 2 just a mile or 2 above take out so all can be home bound if they want by lunch.

Some may want to do 2 big days with ya...

Just got back (March 20th) from a two day float from Steele Creek to Pruit Landing. Water was at the low end of floatable on this section. Not quite to the point of dragging but a lot of bottom bumping.

Eagerly waiting to see where we end up going. Clan Crawford is planning on coming up on Thur. Might make it in time for a late afternoon float on Thur. or an early a.m. float Fri. Just need to know where to go. If we boat camp, can one of you canoeist types carry the portable power supply for Felicia's Sleep Apnea machine? It weighs 18 +/- lbs and will be packed in a dry bag.

River dropping and not a real good looking chance for a boost. I also will have a funeral now in the next couple of days??

I will go, just do not know which boat yet, and which boat determines what I can carry.

I too like longer milage if a vote is being taken. i will be solo. Mary has to work this weekend.

Wife wants me to confirm are we boat camping or base camping? What is the consensus? Coming up on Thur. and it's 5 hrs. +/- for us. Need to know what type of gear and which tent to bring. Really looking forward to this trip either way. Will keep checking board to touch base.

If we take a vote, boat camping versus base camping, I vote for base camping . . . :chicken: But I'll go along with whatever is decided.

Eric, we may have to continue on down the river. I really want to go on to Rush. I realize some folks have jobs and have to get back to the real world, though.

If the weather is good, I plan to come. I strongly prefer base or car camping. I haven't been to the potential meeting places yet, so will need precise information. Thanks!

Right now the Weather Channel is calling for 30% chance of isolated T-Showers for Fri. and Sat with cool but not cold temps. Water levels look like Tyler Bend or Buffalo Pt. would be the best place to base camp if we want ammenities. There are some more primitive CG's (Maumee So. & Spring Creek) between the 2 locations and Rush CG below BP.
