Re: Osage, Round 3
I could make it Sunday morning
Re: Osage, Round 3
It's on for Sunday morning then. Meet in Compton at the c-store at 10:00 AM. If anyone wants to come but can't make it then, let me or hollohead know and we'll try to work something out so that you can find us. If you want to swap phone numbers, PM me or email me at fish on ozarkpages.com.
See you there,

I haven't talked to anyone about going, but are you going to be coming through Fayetteville Fish? If so, I could bring beer or buy burgers for a ride. Give me a shout.

Re: Osage, Round 3
Kurt, what time were you thinking of leaving in the morning?
I wanna leave this world the same way I came into it... naked, screaming, and covered in someone else's blood...

Re: Osage, Round 3
Osage Cr. is open for business again. Big thanks to everyone who came out to help clean it up (all three rounds of it)! This time there were five chainsaws and ten people and we made short work of what was left. We got down to about 150 yards or so past Switchback rapid, so all the major drops are clean right now, but there is probably some more wood in the runout section. We've had a swimmer in that class 2-3 section because of a tree before, so be heads up. Also, there is a lot of wood hovering in and around the banks of the creek. Even though the main lines are clear right now, wood will move in the next big flood event. As goes for ALL Ozark steep creeks, the best bet is to always assume there is a tree blocking anything you can't see!
And holohead, you have a very, very sweet place out there. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Now let's get some rain and run that creek!

Hopefully cleaner creeks will give AR some mojo. Now I'm going to go wash my truck, and take the racks off of Anne's car.Fish wrote:Now let's get some rain and run that creek!

Re: Osage, Round 3
Great job! I wanted to come out and help, but I recently got stuck on 3rd shift and I had to try to get some shut eye before going to work last night.
