With temps dipping into the single digits this weekend, it might be the perfect time to refresh your knot tying by the fire.

Maybe you've seen this site before, but I stumbled across this website and it has animated knot-tying to show you exactly how to tie most any knot. It has knots for boating, climbing, search and rescue and more. It's very cool.

Since many of us don't carry blow-torches (unlike you apparently fishie) I always recommend the ol' "chug a pot of coffee and let nature do the work" method. Unfreezes my knots every time! Although it leaves my hands smelling odd sometimes. Anybody know what that's about?

I'm pretty sure Zach just pees on his hands to build calouses. He never wears a glove anymore because his hands are all leathery, not soft new leather, but the old nasty leather you find on a dead cow.
