2009 ACC Halloween Party!!!!!!!!! Oct 30)

Friday, October 30th the NW Chapter will be having our annual Halloween Party again at Ozark Tom's house. We will be grilling burgers and dogs and would be great if a few would bring some side dishes. We have blowlogs to be erected and everyone is encouraged to come.

Bring the family and come hang out with the infamous NW clan. And if your really in the Halloween spirit, costumes are strongly encouraged.

We will have a hike to the haunted tunnel and for those that decide to camp out, Tom will be making his famous blueberry pancakes Saturday morning.

Our past president will be joining us and we will be leaving Saturday to head up to the Bpaddling ranch for some more fun.

Here are the directions, Feel free to show up anytime that afternoon or evening, lots of tent sites, the party usually starts going full swing around dark.
This year we will have activities for the kids and propane has been eliminated from the show.....
The costume theme this year is "The Wizard of Oz" so polish up those ruby slippers and come on down!


Diretions: From Fayetteville take 540 south to exit 45 (Winslow and Route
74) . At the exit turn left (east) and follow 74 for about 8 miles til you
get to Winslow. You'll go down a big hill and then you'll hit 'downtown
Winslow'. Cross the Railroad tracks and take a right on Main Street
immediately after the tracks (you'll go uphill on the road with the white
guardrail bearing right at the fork). Stay on Main Street until you pass the
school yard on your left. Turn right onto VanBuren and then bear left onto
Bromley. This is RD 3296. Follow 3296 a half mile and make a left at the
second turn (RD 3297) and it will bring you down to the Railroad tracks.
Cross over the tracks and our house is the first one you'll see on the
left. There will be signs out to help guide you in.

Thats right. A midnight hike to the haunted train tunnel is yearly tradition at the NW Chapter party. It's about a mile away - about a 20 minute walk one-way up the tracks. Occasionally we have to dodge a train for added excitement.

Hoping to talk the wife into driving up for the evening. Will have to see how the balance of today goes and if we have the energy to get out tonight. Been a rough week or two. And we're ready for a little down time!

Make sure to discuss the gravel for Lee Creek with your members. River Valley and the State ACC are on board for donations. We'll take whatever the NW Chapter wants to add and place our order soon!
