Paddling in NWA Friday or Saturday?

Post by euphplayer » Thu Oct 22, 2009 8:43 pm

Anybody up for paddling something Friday or Saturday around NWA? I get out of class at 10:20 Friday, and could go anytime after that. Or any time on Saturday is good with me. I would love to go to the Mulberry, or maybe even the Frog...I'm open to suggestions, though.

If I don't find anyone to go to the Mulberry with, I might be up for that. Never been to the Cossatot, either. Saw your other post - I'd definitely be down with car pooling if I went down there. What section were you thinking about running?

Sounds like there is some interest in a Mulberry run tomorrow. I have never been there before, and I'd love to go tomorrow. I checked the weather forecast, and it should be a beautiful day. I'm open for suggestions for what run to do, also, since I've never run it before. Anyone have any guess as to what the water level will be like tomorrow?

I'd probably like to put on sometime late-morning-ish, like sometime between 10:00 and 11:00.

Wiz, I'd love to join yall on the Frog today, but I think it might be a little too cold for me today.

Mark, I'll definitely give you a call later today/tonight if you're still interested.

I'm planning on doing Ed Banks to the falls. Run a few laps on the falls. If you want to go you can take out before the falls since that is where the shuttle car will be. Or run the falls.....

Still interested in the Mullberry (will commit when we talk this evening)....hope the level does not drop a whole lot more. Regardless, it will be floatable.
Give me a shout this evening.
10:00a sounds good.

Sounds good Mark. I'll give you a call this evening.

Justin - I think I'll have to pass on the Cossatot tomorrow. If I went to the 'Tot, I think I would be better off staying above Ed Banks rather than below it - I'm still fairly new to whitewater paddling. Have fun though - I'm sure it will be a great day!

I might join y'all on the Mulberry tomorrow.

Is 10:00 AM at Turner Bend the proposed meeting time/place?

I'm going to wait until morning to decide whether or not to run the mulberry, although it looks likely as I doubt lee creek will be doable. If so I'll see y'all at turner.

I think 10:00 am at Turner Bend is as good a meeting place as any, so I guess let's plan on that. I'll give Mark a call tonight to confirm it with him, but it sounds like that meeting time is going to work for everyone.

Just got off the phone with Mark, and 10:00 am at Turner Bend is good with him, too, so that is when we will all meet. I have not paddled the Mulberry before, so I don't really have a preference on what stretch we run; Mark said he was thinking about putting in at Wolf Pen, which would be fine with me.

Ryan (or anyone else) - I was planning on leaving Fayetteville around 8:30 tomorrow morning - you're more than welcome to ride with me if you want to carpool.

See yall at Turner Bend at 10:00 am tomorrow.
