The thieves are at it again. We're Brent and Jeannie Glover and have been active in paddling...cruising and white water for over 30 years. We belong to both OMP and ACC canoeing clubs. I'm going to give alot of information on this maybe too much. We were out of town for the marriage of our son in Minnesota, when we returned last Tuesday evening we noticed that our Wenonah Spirit II 17' (Burgundy color) had been stolen. They bolt cut the lock and made off with it. It's the only boat I store outside and have stored a cruising boat outside for 10 years.
Here's easy ways to identify this boat. Burgundy color with black rails. The last 2 numbers on the serial number are 05 the year it was made. According to Wenonah is the only Burgundy Wenonah of any kind delivered to the Ozarks that year. They also reported that very few Wenonahs of this color have been delivered to the Ozarks. The color alone is rare. The thwart bbehind the front seat has been removed thus leavining two holes in ther rails behind the front seat. There were 2 white MO Conservation Department stickers for measuring fish front and back. The sticker on the back is worn from carrying on the roof rack. There was an OMP sticker on the bow of the boat. Our name and address were written in permanent marker on the inside of the boat.
We do have suspects. Names and vehicles. They were working on my neighbors house for 3+ weeks before we left. They had no business name or address. Rueben drives a red Ford F 150 stepside paint peeling on the roof and hood. Missouri license plates, probably in his mid forties. Josh drives a white jacked up Dodge Ram, big tires you have to climb up into it, loud pipes, Utah license plates. Josh is in his early 30's. Both vehicles are of the late 90'sor early 00 variety. Rueben stopped by surprise at my neighbors saying he needed to finish up something as they were getting ready to leave for a 4 day weekend. Through dective work we figured out the boat was taken Thursday 7-23 or Friday 7-24. We had already been gone for over the week. They knew both houses were empty. The canoe sat in our back yard between the 2 houses I appologize to any and all construction workers and please realize our suspicions don't imply guilt.
I had considered taking this boat to our cabin in Arkansas and storing it while we were gone due to the uneasyness I had with these workers...hind site is still 20/20. If you all on the message board think I need to post my phone number give me your opinions. I realize finding this boat may be nearly impossible, but we have a resolve to do so. Thanks for reading this post. Jeannie and Brent

Hokay, Sparky!
I'll keep an eye peeled for your boat. There is nothing, and I mean nothing worse than a no-good, lower-than-a-snakes-belly-in-a-wagon-wheel-rut thief.
I live in Spfld., and Janetlee & I kind of know you guys.
Last name Price. Brent will probably remember. Sorry for your loss. Jeez.
We'll be watching.
