Float Bag questiion
I've been using small floatation bags in my large burn kayak. I recently bought the large ones that are really large! on one side, I keep my throw rope and there is plenty of room for it with the new large bags. On the other side I keep a dry bag and there is not enough room for it with the large bag fully inflated. So, the question is, do I just deflate the large bag a little so everything fits nicely? or does that make the bag more prone to puncture? What do y'all do?

Re: Float Bag questiion
my experience has been the more pressure in the air bags, the easier to puncture.
What I do is deflate the air bag a bit, put the dry bag in place and inflate the air bag around the dry bag.
I have used all kinds of airbags that you insert gear into. The most bombproof being the one from watershed.

I use a Standard Stern Float Bag and Rodeo Stern Float Bag in my Mamba.
I put my drybag on the Rodeo side and it fills the gap nicely without having to mess with inflating or deflating it.
It will make your "OCD" senses tingle but it was a small price to pay for ease of access.

My Favorite River is the one that I'm paddling.
