Thanks to the ACC

Post by Ouachitoff » Tue Nov 04, 2014 11:27 am

Just renewed my house membership for next year. Had to sit back and think for a minute, about where I was this time last year both as a boater and in other aspects of my life. 2014 has been a great year and I consider myself fortunate to have joined the ACC and met the fine folks I have so far and spent the quality time on the water I have. I feel like I've progressed greatly since this time last year and a large part of that is due to some of you working with me both at the UALR pool and out on the river.

For those of you just getting started, the ACC is THE resource in AR to get you where you want to be as a paddler.

Thanks and I'll see you on the river. :kayak:

Ouachitoff, I agree completely with your statements.

I will add one thing.

The ACC has been my go to place for friends, boating opportunities, training and a place to support conservation of our streams.

But, it is not just Arkansas. In my opinion, the ACC is not just for the State of Arkansas, the ACC is a REGIONAL RESOURCE for boaters all over. I am talking West TN, LA, TX, OK, MO, KS and even further away from AR. I know boaters who have moved far from our area but they still remain ACC members.

I have traveled quite a bit and joined several boating clubs. In my opinion, the ACC is right up there with a few other clubs for what we offer the boating community.

Enjoy and support the ACC and it's programs.

My goal for the rest of this year is to make one more meeting at the Oyster Bar. :D

I have never been much of a "club kinda guy". I got on this message board and joined the ACC about a year and a half ago. Between the roll sessions, cleanups, Boatball, whitewater school, swift water training, meetings, and everything else the club offers, I have met what I know will be life long friends and have learned more in a shorter amount of time, than I ever would have on my own. Bottom line is. ....THE ACC ROCKS!-M-

Amen to all my boating brothers and sisters. What a GREAT year this has been. Thanks to the ACC members I've been privileged to meet this year, I've had 50+ days on the river and counting.

And what MM said about life long friends is very true. Thanks Buddys and Budetts y'all are the best folks in the world.
