Pre-Vous Lil Mo Trip (9/12)
The Labor Day trip was so much fun, we're planning a repeat for Friday, 9/12 before Rendezvous. Start your ACC weekend early with a Friday Lil Mo trip, and then head on up to Camp Couchdale once we get off the river!
The release is scheduled to start at 10am. Unlike Labor Day, since this trip is a Friday we'll call up the Corps of Engineers on Thursday to see if we can't confirm the release time and make sure they are sticking to the schedule.
Our plan is to be launching into the river at 10:00am. If you want to join our group, please think about how much time you personally need in order to launch at 10:00am, and plan accordingly. If you need 30 minutes to get ready, make sure you are there that early! If you only need 5 minutes, then you can sleep in longer!
If anyone would like to shuttle with us, we will be at the take out at 9:30am, leaving to the put in NO LATER than 9:40am. You can either show up at 9:30 and be ready to consolidate your boats and gear with us, or you could go to the put in first to offload your boats and gear and then come back to the take out and we'll give you a lift back to the put in. PLEASE POST IF YOU PLAN TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SHUTTLE.
DIRECTIONS:
Take out: 34.085809,-93.707138
https://www.google.com/maps/place/34%C2 ... !1s0x0:0x0
We meet on the near side of the river closest to Murfreesboro, so assuming you are coming from Murfreesboro and you cross the bridge over the Lil Mo - you've gone to far. Look to pull off on the right before you cross the river.
Also, there is limited space for parking so please pull off the road and park in such a way that will still allow others to use the access
Put in: 34.145322,-93.712297

I've heard that into every life a little of it must fall,
but you'll never catch me complaining about too much of that southern rain.

As always I'm in. I will drop my boat at the Put-in and take any others I find there to the take-out. This will be a great start to Rendezvous. See you there. BOB

With all the rain, you better call before you go. They may hold off on a release.

I will also tell you that I'm 95% sure I will no longer be planning this trip for Friday. That doesn't mean the entire trip is canceled, as others may still go.
However, this trip was planned due to the dam release as the only flowing water option. With the rain falling today, we should have natural flow options on Friday, which we don't also need to work against a specific release schedule.
I will post later tonight on a new thread if a new/different trip is planned. Rain dependent options may include Cossatot, or even the "middle" Little Missouri (starting at Hwy 85 and going to a couple miles ABOVE Greeson Lake).

I did the upper today. Great run, but was falling out fast and the rain has moved out. At the hwy 84 bridge, it was showing 3.5 on the markings. We put in at 5.8. I doubt the tot will be much above 3 tomorrow.
