23rd Annual Mulberry River Clean Up Day (3-1-14)

Post by Brad Wimberly » Mon Jan 13, 2014 10:31 am

Saturday March 1 is the date for this year's annual clean up effort in the Mulberry River valley. Last year we cleaned from Wolf Pen to Campbell Cemetery on the river (approximately 26 miles), and from Oark to Shores Lake by road (about 30 miles). We also hit all of the access points and side roads in the area. Let's hope for good weather and another good effort this year. The schedule is as follows:
9:00 Check in at Turner Bend and begin clean up effort
1:00 Bonfire and refreshments at Turner Bend gazebo
2:00 Lunch served
3:00 Door prize drawing
Call 479-667-3641 for further details.

The ACC contingent needs to get out in strong numbers for this event! It is a great time to get out show your appreciative feelings for The Valley of Love!

A new community group is forming to help support this annual effort as well as other projects to nurture and support the Mulberry River. Come to the clean up to find out more and to get involved.

Hey Brad,

Consider me checked in as I will do the usual and start with the Mill Creek access and work my way back upstream to TBend in time for Lunch!

We will visit Spirit's Creek and Campbell's on our way up until we run out of time.

Will bring PA and set up for announcments and door prizes, etc.
