Rendezvous 2013 Tentative Schedule of Events
Re: Rendezvous 2013 Tentative Schedule of Events
Ouachita Outdoor Outfitters and the ACC are giving away a Mad River Legend 16 with wood gunwales....10 bucks a ticket and there will only be 200 tickets sold!!! Proceeds go towards the ACC Instructor Education Fund.

Re: Rendezvous 2013 Tentative Schedule of Events
I have never been down to that area. Is there spots available for campers with hook ups at Camp Couchdale or any campgrounds close by? My wife and I will be trying to make it but she has 2 babies in her belly and will need A/C close by if it is hot out. Anyone have any recommendations?....Thanks in advance. Can't wait to hopefully get my first experience at Rendezvous!

No room or hook-ups for campers at Couchdale. Definitely check with the state park, but I'll be surprised if they have anything available. It's very popular. Also check with Catherine's Landing. It's really nice. Here's the link.TrentF wrote:I have never been down to that area. Is there spots available for campers with hook ups at Camp Couchdale or any campgrounds close by? Also where will the paddle be on Saturday?

Moon Light Paddle at Rendezvous- Friday Night
This weekend there will be an almost full moon up throughout the evenings, so (weather and clouds permitting) we will be having an evening paddle as part of our Rendezvous activities. We will be leaving from the landing area just south of the Camp Couchdale Chapter House at 10:00p.m. FRIDAY night and plan to be out for approximately 1 hour.
In addition to the normal requirement of having a lifejacket, all boats must also display a white light, preferably a lantern that can be seen from 360 degrees or if that is not available, a flashlight that shines a white light. A head lamp would be OK, but I would suggest bringing a second handheld flashlight that you could use to signal any oncoming boats. This is required my law. The biggest danger of paddling at night is from a fisherman in a small powerboat that is not expecting to see any other boats on the water, much less a low-to-the-water kayak or canoe.

Breakfast Sunday morning by Central Chapter, 8am -10am or until we run out of grub. $5 gets you a sausage-egg burito with cheese and salsa and a cup of OJ.
