I think I saw Jeff almost every single trip that I took down the Ocoee. And at the recommendation of several friends (Kaylan, Michele J, Dru, Jonna, etc), I had planned to take a creeking class with him. I am sad now that I will never get that opportunity and sad that I will never pass him on the river teaching new paddlers anymore.....

I was very lucky this past Holiday weekend to meet Jeff West at the private boater takeout. We discussed me taking his day class at the end of this month as his schedule was full until Sept. 20th. I had called an left him a message on Monday and never got I return call and I woke up this morning to find out the reason why. Sad. RIP.
