bailer or bucket boat?

Post by Clif » Sat Sep 03, 2011 8:02 pm

So a few years ago I sold my little raft for most of the price for a much larger cataraft. Enjoy this big boat. Great for what it does. But

Seriously looking at getting a 12 or 13 footer for both Buffy runs with kids and some more aggressive rivers... mostly paddling. Don't think I will do a frame on this one. Leaning strong to an Aire Tributary. Should I go mo money for a self bailer? or will a standard floor be enough? Where we take this boat will be kinda up to Quinton. I am sure Illinois Bayou and the like at least. If he likes it?? who knows. Just looking for some experience and input.

I figure ordering a boat will up my chance of winning that vous raft???
You sure this is on the right channel?

Get the SB version and live large. Wouldn't think the bucket version would make a lot of difference on those streams but think about all the water that gets in the boat from getting in and out as well as keeping the craft clean.

You'll thank yourself later.

Hyside makes its Livery series which are not self-bailers. Probably others do the same.

Bailer! But, you might have Don at OOO check with Star to see if they might have a left-over 9' bucket like my little one left real cheap!! For the right price, a bucket might do what you need... or not.
