cougar cataraft floor?

Post by Clif » Mon Aug 01, 2011 5:41 pm

After the last excursion, the plastic mesh tramp type floor on my frame came undone along one side. It wraps around the bar and fastened to itself to make a loop. Ideas on how to secure? Sew? glue? Maybe replace?

marine grade plywood?
You sure this is on the right channel?

NRS... joints are anyway. 25" center to center across bottom tubes... about 26 1/2 outside to outside. Mesh floor on it is almost 4 feet...46 47 maybe... hard to measure like it is right now.. room for more

I have a NRS mesh floor which fits I think, some 38 inch between the bottom tubes, not sure if it will fit a cougar . You are welcome to it if you can figure out a way to get them from here to you. Tuff River Stuff or Stitches N Stuff will custom make you a cat boat mesh floor and both are hi quality.

There are several schools of thought on catboat floors.

I ended up with marine plywood floors on mine and just liked them a bunch. The reason being it is so easy to load stuff and people on the plywood.

I attempted to use "green" plywood and it can be made to work. I ended up getting real marine plywood and varnish every spring because it looks good and works great on my cats
