I eluded to this on the "Arkansas Boater in Trouble" thread, but I thought it could use its own thread. This is one of those things that really defines for me what kayaking and being part of the kayaking community means.
Stohlquist Waterware, ShredReady Helmets, Werner Paddles, and SkirtworkS have all either donated gear or heavily discounted replacement gear for James. Which is awesome! And our Stohlquist sales reps have even kicked off a "fund" to help James pay for the gear that wasn't donated. Another side of this is the rescue itself. Being airlifted ain't cheap. So we're raising money to help James our with both the gear and any medical expenses. Werner Paddles is putting this up on their BLOG as well to help raise money. If you feel like making a donation is something you'd like to do, then here's your opportunity.
Send to: Ouachita Outdoor Outfitters c/o Jeremy Mackey 112 Blackhawk Ln. Hot Springs, AR 71913 and drop a note in stating that this is for James Robison's Fund. All donations will be kept anonymous.
Much love to James, can't wait to see you on the river! Glad to have you back!
Thanks.
