Looks like we might be getting some rain here around here today and tomorrow, assuming we do me and a friend or two were thinking of running SFLF maybe Tuesday. Anyone interested?

Waters up, right around perfect and should hold into tomorrow, plus it got a little more rain just now so it'll be perfect. Me and a buddy plan on leaving Benton around 8 or 9 in the morning. If anyone would like to meet up and come along, give me a call at 501 249 3107.

I dont know the sflr but looked up in Tom Kennon's book and it sounds nice. Would say its comparable to Cadron,Mulberry? Minna
Re: South Fourche LaFave
Minna - yes it is a Class II with CLASS VI gnats so be prepared. I went a couple weeks ago and it was so hard to enjoy the float as we swatted gnats from our heads the ENTIRE way down the river. Bug spray seemed to attract them even more so you may want to get some sort of netting to put over your helmet.
Re: South Fourche LaFave
That's odd, we went last Monday and didn't have any problems with the bugs. Main mistake we made was that it was too low = mucho dragging.

How was your trip? Lil Mo was lower than guage indicated so we went to Caddo. Minna
Re: South Fourche LaFave
Minna, we ended up going to Ouachita for a two hour float because I slept in late. lol But we still had fun. A girl I know and a few of her friends were at the caddo the same day yall were... sounds like we should of came there. -Bennett
