The current, the jacks fork, and the eleven point are all good to go due to the fact that they are spring fed. They are all in southern MO. The jacks fork and the current can get a little packed some times, but they are nice rivers. Not the Buffalo, but still good.

I have mine leashed to my chin strap also. I haven't had any problems with it hitting me in the face or anything when it gets knocked off, but I understand the concern. I have taken a good shot to the head with it on, and it broke away without any damage. I have also had it on my boat and had it bro...

Great job Heath!! It sounds like you guys did a great job on keeping your cool and performed a great rescue. I am sure that you saved that mans life, and by creating this post you also possibly saved many more. You should feel very proud!

I don't like the fact that there is concrete in the river, but the fact is it was not put in there to distract from the natural state of the river or become a eyesore as we enjoy a great run down one of my favorite creeks.
