I'm lookin' to do an afternoon Cadron run on Friday, say 1:30pm at Hwy 60 bridge. Holler if you're in. Should drop down to a fun, fun level...

Cheers,
Heather

We may consolidate rides in Little Rock. See who else is going tomorrow. The rain chances are 40% and it keeps coming according to the weather channel. Who know what levels will be tomorrow. Love it!!!!

For those of you famaliar with the Cadron, any speculation as to what the level may be on Saturday (without any more rain)?

Directions: Hwy 40 to Conway to Hwy 60 North (I think it's exit 125, but not positive). North of Greenbrier, the turn off to the takeout is up the hill after Hwy 60 crosses over the Cadron. There's a brown/white sign; turn right and the road weaves back down to under the Hwy. We'll leave some cars at the takeout and head to the put-in.

Owl - hard to tell because I'm not too sure how the levels might drop out this time of year...kind of rare...but looking at the USGS graph, I would think it will still be at least in the high 2's/close to 3 feet on Saturday. That's my best guess. I THINK it will be there all weekend long...different waves come into play at different levels, so it's all good even as it's dropping out (IMHO).

Cheers

Heather, I think every time you said Hwy 60, you meant Hwy 65.

Are you catching the ADD thing from us?

We were on it yesterday evening at just below 5' and it was big and muddy and flattened out... but it was still a great place to be on water in the middle of August. There should still be water Saturday... down in the 3-ish foot range.

BE ADVISED that some of us were told by Blake that CCO has INCREASED the fees it asks for using its access to $3 a boat and $3 a person... which means that it costs $6 per yakker to put on there... it's CCO's right to charge what they want, but it's also our right... no, duty... to start seeing if we need to plan for other alternatives for the future if we think the price is abusive... Is it?

Larry, it was my understanding that it's only $3 per boat if you're an ACC member. It made a difference for me several months ago once I told the guy I was an ACC member.

60...65...I feel that's close enough. 60 is 92.3% of 65, so being 92.3% right is good enough, isn't it? :poke: At any rate, it's not an ADD thing, it's a memory thing. I haven't been to the Cadron in so long, how could I possibly remember?

Well, I was hoping the Cadron would drop down to a more playful level for today, but instead it's shooting straight up. That's actually what I would expect to happen in the winter...but I wasn't sure what to expect in the middle of August! I'm still game to go even though it'll be a big fast ride. One thing's for sure...there will be water in the Cadron all weekend long!

I guess let me know who's still in (I think some are coming who haven't posted...) so I know I've at least got a shuttle!

How was the water quality yesterday? Just muddy or did it have the summer runoff smell to it? Muddy doesn't really scare me, but I had enough of the funky water last summer.
