Whatever it is -- it sure be good for paddling.

This weekend it was that rain that was renewing the Illinois' vigor. Steady rains throughout the watershed had little impact on the output of the local springs mostly because of the high levels of evapotranspiration impairing ground water replenishment. Similarly sewage affluent was relatively constant over the weekend. Thus all that playful water heavily laden with sediments (with concomitant surge in phosphorus) was due mostly to surface runoff. Rain!!
