Camping permits at Rockport Ledge

Hello y'all,
I live in Dallas and heard from a fellow boater that camping permits used to be available from the city of Melvern. Is this still the case and if so how do I get one?

Thanks for the info. Does anyone know anything about JB's RV Park and Campground, north of Rockport. Is it a reasonable place to stay? It is ironic that it seems to be one of the only places that's not reserved-up for Labor Day weekend.
