I have a solid black carbon paddle. After seeing a friend part ways with his last week on the creek I thought I may put my name on mine. Whats the best way to do this without using a dremmal tool. I've heard whiteout, china marker, and spray paint.

Don’t know about paddle material, but after painting on oar blades, Pelican boxes and drybags for years with a stencil, I’ve gone to the adhesive vinyl material that sign makers use. Your name, address and phone number wouldn’t cost more than a few bucks, and it looks neat as opposed to free handing. The stuff will ding up, but you could probably have them make small letters and apply it to the shaft where it might not get as much contact.

I use one of these to put my name on everything.

I also spray painted my blades neon orange since they were black. It really looks terrible; fades, gets scraped up, it isn't coated evenly. But I got my paddle back with I lost it, so I'd rather it look like crap than be missing.

Laramy,,,,,,Jeff's paddle should still be pinned at the top of the fourth drop till the creek comes up again. Hate to see someone lose a couple hundred dollar paddle. Talked to Jamie,,, he mentioned he might go look for it.
