Little Missouri River Trip Tuesday, June 6, 2023. Several paddlers are going to the Murfreesboro area to catch the release from Lake Greeson Narrows Dam tomorrow. The release begins at 1:00 p.m. The launching point is at the Corps of Engineers Riverside Picnic Area. Don't get confused and go to Riverside Access; drive farther until you see the playground, pavilion, and the bathrooms. You can see the dam from the road as you approach the Picnic Area. The length of paddle is 5.2 miles. The take-out is on County Road 222 (West 13th Street in Murfreesboro) about a mile and a half west of Murfreesboro. The official time to meet is 1:00 p.m. at Riverside Picnic Area. I like to have time to paddle around the pool at the put-in which requires being at the take-out at noon to set shuttle.
