Illinois Bayou outing Sunday, April 2, 2023. I'm meeting Calvin Doody and friends at the boat ramp at the take-out on Hwy. 164 at 1:30 p.m. We will be launching at the Hector bridge on Hwy. 27 for this 7.6 mile, Class 2 cruise. There's a small chance of rain so be prepared for that. Basic boat control is required: ability to maneuver to and stay on a safe course, catch an eddy, ferry across current, ability to stop by paddling backwards or moving to the bank. Join in if you like.
