Wood Canvas Canoe For Sale
Price: $500
18 foot (18') Chestnut wood canvas. Model is a Voyageur from the Prospector series, a longer version of the Chestnut Prospector that Bill Mason made famous. I restored it in the 1990's. My friend and I paddled and portaged this in the Boundary Waters three times. Loaded with lots of gear, it paddles fast. There is nothing like wood. It is a joy to paddle, even with long portages.
Dimensions are as follows:
Length: 18'
Beam: 35-1/2" (measured between inside planking)
Depth at bow: 20" (not sure how this should be measured)
Depth at beam: 15-1/4" (measured from inside planking to top of ribs)
Rib width" 2-3/8"
Rib spacing: 2"
Planking width: 4"
Cant ribs: 4"
