As of 2020, the Cossatot Race is an official Arkansas Canoe Club event, and you can even find us in the event section of the club website.

The race is held in the Falls section of the Cossatot River. The 2020 Tot Race will be held in March and/or April. Our potential dates are: March 21st, March 28th, April 4th, or April 18th. That means that the first Saturday during our window that the river is between 3 and 6 feet, we race. If the water is too high (exceeds 6 ft) on the first Saturday there is water, then the race will be held the next day (Sunday).

For those of you who have been before, you already know how much fun this can be. For those of you who have never attended, come see what all the fuss is about! We’d love to say hi!

Cossatot Race and Arkansas Canoe Club leadership have made a difficult decision to follow the latest recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for gatherings of 10+ people and cancel the Cossatot Race for this Spring.

THANKS TO THE RACERS that pre-registered.
We will be refunding all entry fees Via PayPal. Depending how the transaction was completed may depend on how fast that transaction takes place.

We are working to reschedule for the fall so please stay tuned for announcements and updates!

Has this event been rescheduled for this fall (2020)?

2020 VIRTUAL event.
We aren’t doing an in-person event this year, but we still wanted to have some fun.

Step 1:
Submit video footage of yourself from any previous tot race, and the fastest time submitted will receive a Tot Race Medal. Yeah, we know, we know… the medal isn’t a mug, but it’s pretty dang cool in itself. And, hey… it’s FREE to participate! What do you got to lose?

Step 2:
Visit the website where you can purchase a Virtual Event Pack which includes a tshirt, sticker, and a door prize ticket for an Astral Green Jacket giveaway. This is $14.00. This is NOT necessary to participate in the virtual event, but it is the only way to get a door prize ticket.
