Hi! I'm looking for a shorter canoe, I paddle flatwater 90% of the time, maybe an occasional trip down the lazy parts of the Buffalo. I like to fish, both regular and fly. I prefer to kneel in the center of the boat or sit "S" shaped rather than "L" shaped like in a kayak. I want a wide boat for good stability and ease of entry/exit. I'm not gentle with things, so ABS of some sort is preferable...I scrape bottom a lot. I do like a portaging yoke. I have an Old Town Guide 147 which I like, but I'm looking for something that is shorter and will fit a rooftop rack or pickup bed a little better. Oh yeah, I'm 320lbs and pretty solid lol. I think an OT Pack would be great, but they apparently are only available on the second Tuesday of each week. Any suggestions?
