Is the mulberry floatable from Turner to Campbells cemetery at low conditions like now. Don't mind dragging since primarily fishing. How many miles is that. Are there any other better access points downstream. thanks

It is passable, and actually the fishing should be better as the water clarity is improved.
That float is about 11 miles, at a 'fishing' rate of travel you are looking at about 12 hr. float.
Look at putting in at Big Eddy and going to Campbell's. That would be about half as long and
miss a couple potential log jam spots.

Paddledog, thanks for the advice. Seems like Big Eddy to CAmpbells is the plan. Could you give me some direction to access these points.

A little bear ran across in front of me Wednesday driving Campbell's road. No sign of the momma.

Looking at the map in more detail, it seems that the run from Big Eddie to CAmpbells is about 8 miles. Is there any access from 1009 which is about half way.

road here - 35.642234, -93.866480 (new gravel road to a food plot then you can go either direction around the food plot, but it gets rough)
and here - 35.629193, -93.885812 (Milton Ford Crossing)

Milton's is a public crossing but is a kinda rough road in.
A vehicle with clearance is necessary.
There is a parking area on River Right, downstream of the crossing.

yes. i heard the parking area close to the river might be closed. you might have to park out on Shores Lake Rd and walk in after dumping boats though but it's not far

Much thanks to Nathan, Prophet and Paddle Dog. Did Big Eddy to Milton Ford yesterday at river level 1.4. This is 7.2 miles and we fished it in 7 hours. About 8 or 10 rock gardens that could use about 8 more inches of water to be more easily passable. We did quite a bit of walking but caught lots of fish. All in all a very good day.
There is a nice road right to the river edge at Big Eddy. It is just around the curve from the old road.
Milton Ford was not bad and there is parking down by the river.

Sounds like high adventure. What kind of fish did you catch?
