I'm looking for information on any prescribed or natural burns that have taken place on the Buffalo over the last couple/three years? I'm planning on doing some morel mushroom hunting and floating the last week of March. Thanks!

A peek on the websites of either the Arkansas Forestry Department, National Forest Service, or the Buffalo National River N.P. may help with any information on previous forest maintenance operations.

Thanks Jim! I actually emailed the AR NPS and they put me in touch with Fire Management Officer and even the Fire Specialist who does the burns in the area. Super helpful but apparently there aren't any prescribed burns on the upper Buffalo and that's where we were planning on floating. I've found morels in all types of terrain so if anybody wants to give up any hints about where we might find them on the upper Buffalo I'm all ears.
I know in Missouri people are very secretive about their morel hunting spots so if I don't no one says anything I understand

There is a natural burn area located in the northeast area located beginning where Hwys. 21 and 43 intersect at Boxley. Don't remember exactly how far down it came the mountain but I remember people worrying about the valley getting hit.
About giving up their spots, all you will hear on this board is likely
