I recently bought an old town camper canoe. It is a royalex model. It has some staining on the hull and on the interior of the boat. I worked all afternoon cleaning it. It looks a lot better but I fell that it could be better. Does anyone have suggestions?

Well if anyone is interested I got online last night and found that comet with bleach the scratch resistant formula would work. I got most of it off using purple stuff. I went back over the interior of the boat this afternoon and the comet worked great. I wish I would have used it at the beginning. The boat had obvisouly been leaning up aginst a building. One side of the boat looks pretty good but the other side is really stained with black splotches. I used a little of the comet diluted and it cleaned it as well but I am afraid to use it on the hull due to discoloring it even more.

Barkeepers Friend (oxalic acid),in either the liquid or powdered form (depending on applcation), is my go-to remedy for lots of cleaning chores.

Some options, in order I would try:
-Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. (wet it first then use elbow grease)
-Flitz (Metal, Plastic & Fiberglass polish & paint restorer) I've used this stuff to clean up everything from stainless steel, granite to vulcanite (rubber). Should work on abs. Miracle stuff for sure.
-Goof Off
Good Luck!

Only an open boater would waste time cleaning a boat... ;-p
