Bayou Deview Sunday August 28-2016

I just can't miss a great opportunity to float Bayou Deview in August. It will be sunny but not too hot under the heavy tree canopy and the water level will be perfect. We will meet at TRicks in Hazen exit 193 off I 40 at 9am. The plan is to put in at Hickson Lake, join the main trail and paddle up stream for a little exploratory, then cut through the woods and connect with the trail downstream. We will have lunch on Whiskey Island and take out at Apple Lake. The distance should be about 5 miles and no portages will be needed. I was there Wednesday and there were hardly any bugs,but bring bug spray just in case.
