Blackfly Option

Post by jdryden78 » Tue Jul 12, 2016 2:15 pm

Does anyone in NW AR have an Option? Hoping to try one out some day to see how it compares to my spanish fly. Just started paddling open boats, just want to get some ideas of what's out there and how they compare.

Jim Binns has one. He usually goes to roll sessions and we have a few in July.

Unfortunately I won't be able to make July's roll sessions because I work Saturdays until 4pm. Maybe I will get lucky and he will be at the Ford some day I'm there.

Spanish Fly is nothing like the Option. L'edge is more comparable to the Option and I have one. I am trying to make it to the roll session this Sat.
Cheers,

Yeah, I'm hoping to try out several boats. The L'edge, Octane, and Option are on my short list of boats to try. The never ending search for that perfect boat that just feels right. I picked up the S'fly because it was available and similar enough that I would have no excuse to not get out and paddle it. Besides...no such thing as too many boats right...

I'm nursing an injury to the ribs. Might feel better by Monday, not sure.

As of now I definitely plan on being there. It's my new Monday ritual.
